28th January 2014 - Ooga Chakka Ooga Ooga...

"I'm not the kind of actor that would know what my character had for breakfast last Tuesday" - Liam Neeson.

No, because Liam Neeson is too busy being AWESOME!

Another bad night of galloping Gollums. Seriously considering changing Barney's name to Smeagol. Or Gollum.

Poor little thing. I wonder why he's starting doing it again? The miracle biscuits don't seem to be doing much in the way of helping. So he's probably eating Maia's bix instead. Urgh. Plus the whole stomping around at silly o'clock is getting a bit old...

Yes. And how cute is that cat?!

We begrudgingly got up to go to the gym, even though my heart wasn't in it, and Maia didn't want me to get up and go. She sat on my knee while I put my trainers on and was purring away. I should have stayed home with her! BAD MAMMA!

I ran for 5 minutes on the treadmill which wasn't too bad, then did a kinetic circuit while listening to Michael Palin travel round the world in 80 days. He's only just set off but it's interesting!

While Paul was in the shower, I sorted yet more washing (sigh) and sorted yet more ironing which I will be starting tonight. It's towering up. I don't like it!

We noticed we're running short of our moisturiser, and instead of sending Paul out to get more this week, we cut off the top to get to the dregs.

Turns out there are more than dregs in there! Will last us for another little while! Which is good as it's not cheap!

Was running a little late for work but wasn't that bothered as there was nothing worth rushing in for! In fact, it's starting to feel a little like Groundhog Day in our office. I'm either sorting spreadsheets or data collecting (when I'm not actually doing some legal stuff) and T is typing. Constantly typing. There's no music or anything to break the monotony. I wish I worked at a law firm like the one in Ally McBeal. At least there are dancing babies and Barry White to keep things interesting!

(Prepare for Tumblr overload)

Sorry - had to be done. Gah, I loved that show. Especially season 4 with Robert Downey Jnr. Singing. MMMMMMMPH. (sorry Paul).

Before I get off the subject of Ally McBeal and RDJ, here's one of my favourite songs EVER. Because it's relevant. So there.

Where was I?...oh yeah. Work isn't like that here. Maybe I need to start dancing in the bathroom. Imagining dancing babies is a step too far right now...

So anything compared to the above makes for a very boring day, don't you agree? Sat at my desk for 8 hours looking at websites and collating data. YAWN.

I chatted to my parents on the way home then had to decide how to spend my evening. I discovered what I thought was a virus on my laptop and so had to try to get rid of that. It wasn't a virus. It was an iTunes update not installing properly and corrupting itself. Well done, fruit based software. *slow claps*.

I had a gourmet dinner of beans on toast and did a few hours ironing whilst watching Veronica Mars again. It's very good. I finished ironing at about 9:30pm, played with my little monsters for a bit, gave them hairball treats which they really don't like very much but ate anyway and went to bed. It took me a little while to get to sleep, especially as I was on my own (Paul was at the football) and next door sounded like they were arguing, the baby was making a lot of the noise and they were having a tap-dance off while trying to excavate their way into my house. That's purely speculation, but that's what it sounded like!

27th January 2014 - Monday-itis!

Monday Monday...can't trust that day...Monday Monday sometimes it just turns out that way...

Has anyone ever been happy to see a Monday? I'm just curious.

We got up (after a bad night - Barney's possessed by Gollum again a little) and went to the gym as we do on a Monday. I decided on a light workout, so did the leg challenge, the leg bike and the arm bike.

I was a little bit wobbly afterwards!

I don't know what it means, day after...I was like this an hour after!
It was a loooong day in work. I have started getting a headache on a Monday at around 11am. This is the 4th Monday running. Hmmmph. It's not dehydration from the gym as I drink my whole 750ml bottle of water during and after the workout. Plus another litre while at work, and that's not counting the giant honey and lemons I have. Any other ideas?

I came home and felt pretty sorry for myself.

I seem to spend all my life washing at the moment. So after work more needed to be done.

Going to the gym = more washing. Stupid gym clothes.

I had plans to be productive after yesterday's laziness, but no. Not only did my head hurt but I started sneezing as well and feeling generally crappy. Again. Just like last week.

I took an anti-allergy tablet in the hope that would help the sneezles (it did) and went to bed quite early after a couple of eps of The Good Wife to keep us going.

Yawnsome day.

26th January 2014 - Overcome with laziness!

Yesterday (or this morning if you will) was a late one for us! So in turn it was a lazy morning! And the weather was disgusting, so staying in bed was the best option all round!

In all the darkness of the morning, there were some odd sounds coming from next to me. I tried to take a picture and found this:

That's a Barnacle, making himself at home on my cushions!

A slightly better picture!

In doing this, he managed to pull the clock radio off the side (see the wire with the white paint on it? That!) and switch off all the other plugs because the extension cable is underneath where his bottom is! Well done, Beep! Bravo!

Paul popped to the shops so we could get some dinner, but there was no way I was going outside. He then settled down to do some work and I watched some more Veronica Mars, with good intentions of getting stuff done but actually getting nothing done at all!

I then came and did the washing up because I felt bad for being lazy.

We then had steak for dinner and watched this week's Community. Was a good evening but the day was over far too soon.

2013 - Found my wedding dress!

25th January 2014 - Tale as old as time

"Saturday, what a day, groovin' all week with yoooooou..." - Happy Days!

*This could be a picture-heavy post. And none of them are of me! Considering I uploaded 81 pics, eek! Not all of them will make it though. I hope!*

A nice lie in this morning! Paul was awake before me despite him coming to bed much later than I did!

After lazing around for a while, I set to and carried on making Ceri's birthday card! Needed to get done in time for her shindig tonight!

Want to see? Well alrighty then!

No idea why it's sideways. Stupid blogger.

Hand-made 3D bunting, handstamped with 'Happy Birthday Ceri!'.

I'm quite proud of it! There are a few things I'd do different but for a first attempt birthday card I say go me!

I spent the rest of the day sorting out a few odds and ends with my crafty stuff with regards to making some more thank you cards from the wedding - yes I'm horrendously behind. Bad etiquette, Cags. Shame on me.

I also marathoned some more Veronica Mars. Yes - I'm hooked now. I need to know who killed Lilly Kane, damnit! I have 2 or 3 more eps of season 1 left to watch and I can't wait!

We then had dinner and got ready to drive over to Bromborough to attend the lovely Ceri's 30th birthday shindig! It was a 90s themed party. We didn't get dressed up. We felt like the odd ones out!

Chris and Ceri as Beauty and the Beast! How adorbs are these two?!

I think the other way this evening could be described is a Spice Girls convention as I think there were about 3 sets of Spice Girls there!

Chris's brother in law cameo'd as Ginger Spice and his Dad was Sporty. Talk about getting into the spirit of things! :)

Then time for cake!

It was Ceri's Dad's birthday a week before so they combined the party (correct me if I'm wrong, Chris!)

My favourite picture of the whole night I think!
There certainly were a few fun costumes around!

I believe the above has a stereotypical 90s scouser socialising with Mario and Luigi. Slash was in the background as well.

Chris's Grandma as Baby Spice. Wonderful!

Apparently there is a massive penchant with many of the guest to like any song that has a dance routine. Macarena...Whigfield. It's painful.

The Macarena. Closely followed by Whigfield - Saturday Night.

Fun for the whole family.

Spice up your life...

And time for some Liam Gallagher impressions...

General family fun!

The penultimate song was a doozy. In keeping with the costumes, we got a bit of Beauty and the Beast for the nearly-weds to dance along to...

(Not sure what the DJ is doing in the back of this one...Night Fever, perhaps?!)

Aren't they just lovely?! Can't wait for the wedding now!

We got home about 12:30am (dirty stopouts) with rather gravelly voices after singing rather loudly to the britpop they played towards the end, and the classic song which makes you put your arm in the air as soon as the intro plays...

Just us?

Fantastic night and completely sober, although probably hyper from the coca cola and icing from birthday cake! 4 weekends off the ale now! It's been easy! Didn't even fancy a drink last night! I've changed!

Headed to bed with a smile on my face and regret for not getting fancy dressed up!

Oh and I put all those pictures on there in case Chris wanted to take copies of them. Sorry if they bored the rest of you.

I need to get a proper camera. Might ask Santa for one next year.

2010 - Not for the squeamish.
