20th June 2014 - Starting early...

Another non-gym day. Bad Cagga. Having said that, I was really productive and sorted washing and stuff, so that makes it worth while, right? RIGHT?!

Sorting stuff at home made me leave the house a little later, which meant that T got to the office about a minute before I did. I saw her ahead but knew I couldn't run to catch her up. She's not that confident about opening up, however, luckily for her, the landlord man was in so she didn't have to!

It was a long day in the office. T finished all the difficult work that she had, to be bombarded with lots of little semi-difficult things, which she piled by her desk. I helped her out with some of the less difficult stuff which seemed to make it all look worse than it was. I think we did a really good job!

Do you know what made it even better?

FIZZ FRIDAY! IT FINALLY HAPPENED AGAIN! Early celebrations for tomorrow and much needed celebrations for surviving this week! WHOOP! It was goooooood!

No rest for the wicked though and I didn't even get sitting around time as such once I got home! I got straight into the shower as I had a plan! Can't disrupt the plan!

Hair dye on! Bath to be had!

I dyed my hair again so it would be shiny for tomorrow. I put heat-protect product in it which made it feel not nice though. Bad serum. My hair usually feels lush after I've dyed it but not this time. Hmph.

Paul brought me a nice glass of wine while I was in the bath and I relaxed away!

I let my hair dry naturally and we just chilled for the rest of the evening. I got some washing done as well. Early night tonight for tomorrow's madness!

19th June 2014 - Girls being girls

We toyed with going to the gym this morning. Crazy, right. In the end, we didn't. Even though we were both wide awake, it didn't happen. So we had a little lie in but then Paul got up and went to work, as he does. Next week. Next week we'll go back.

Anyway, another day in work just T and I and another stressful one. She had a REALLY difficult task to do and having never done it before, it was a challenge. I knew the people to ask, I just hoped they didn't mind helping! They didn't and she got it done as best she could. She was stressed all day but when we were walking to the train station after work she said that in a strange way she enjoyed doing something new. Try being on the receiving end of your stress, love!

It's Eng-er-land night again tonight where we play for our lives in this World Cup! Come on the lads!

Yeah.

It was on. Instead of really watching the football, I decided to try out a new gadget I borrowed from T's daughter, MiniMe!

It's called something like a B@Byli$s Secret Curl and apparently it's really easy to use and creates pretty curls. Well, ok! If it can make my frizz ball head curl nice then I'm in.

The front camera on my phone sucks, but you can see the before on the right and the after on the left! It's quite easy to use and the curls are indeed pretty! It's a win! Will be using that on Saturday to prettify myself.

Only did half my hair. No point doing it all as I'm washing it tomorrow!

I got bored watching the football. We scored a goal and it was like we'd won the bloody thing! Nope. Uruguay scored again. We lost. Again. We suck! I think it's well funny!

Took myself off to bed. Long day tomorrow! The start of a couple of them, actually!

18th June 2014 - Super!

Wednesday! YAY! Although it being Wednesday had no bearing on anything today as we've been lazy and had a lie in every day this week. Oops.

I was ready for work far earlier than usual and was sat googling stuff for holiday on my phone when I figured I could just go into the office and do that. So I did. I ended up not googling anything and working. I should have stayed at home for the extra 20 minutes! I know Maia would have appreciated it!

Again, to work. T had some really difficult work to do and I tried to help where I could but I know nothing (Jon Snow) and therefore am about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Hmmph. In fact, I was probably more of a hindrance as I needed help on what I was doing!

At lunch time I thought I'd have a look at what the weather was going to be doing this week, looking forward to this weekend's events. That's when I spotted this:

Yes, 3 different email apps for each different email address. Don't judge me. Also ignore my cleavage as well. :)

 70 DEGREES C?! C?! Yes, it was warm  but more like 20 or 21! Nowhere near 70! Hence my screen capture. I'm not sure sure I would be able to even think about a screen capture or my blog at that temperature!

After work I headed into town to meet Paul as I wanted to get a few bits and bobs for the weekend's festivities, plus we needed to get Paul something to wear as well. He got a bow tie. So at present he's only wearing a bow tie on Saturday. You're welcome, Chris! ;)

I got accosted by a make up lady in Boots who talked me into a new lipstick and some other make up (which meant I got a freebie as well. Awesome!) and even tested them on me to make sure they were the right colour for my skin tone! I suppose she was bored. She said there were weirdos around so looking busy helped with that so I suppose I had a use! Plus she got a sale. Yeah. Sucker. I know.

We got all our stuff sorted then headed back to Paul's car and headed home. Our journey home doesn't take us past any of the extremely famous Liverpool landmarks but takes us past one of our favourites...

Aw, the Superlambanana! How we love you!

We went home, had dinner and watched football. Same old same old. I tried on some of the things I bought, some of which didn't really fit so will have to go back at some point :( and just generally relaxed for a little while.

I like evenings like this.

17th June 2014 - The New, The Old and The Fuzzy!

Another Tuesday where we haven't gymmed. I used to be that person who you wanted to smack for being a smug cow when I talked about going to the gym first thing every day, didn't I?! Yeah, well, I have the guilt for not going. We will go again. One day.

So, heigh ho, off to work I went for another day of just T and I. It was ok. Long, but ok. Nothing exciting, of course! When is it ever?!

Then to home and I got a nice lift from Paul which was completely unexpected and lovely! I like it when he can do that! I miss having a personal chauffeur!

It turns out that on his way to collect me he was hungry and had stopped to get some sushi. He got some for me but knowing my issues with fish (ick) he got me duck sushi. I have never had any form of sushi before so let's give this a whirl!

Duck sushi. It was interesting. The only way I can describe it. I have no opinion on it. I'm sure it's lovely and my lack of ability to taste...anything...probably means I am not a credible source of review when it comes to food.

I had chores to do this evening so headed straight to my ironing board to get this job done. I'm 'enjoying' (probably the wrong word but works in context) staying on top of my ironing! One night a week and it's all done! Occasionally there might be too much for one night but at the minute it's all good!

While sorting my clothes I found this:

LOLZ! This was a gift from a good friend of mine many moons ago! I had my own Dharma T! Well, given what's been going on in Marvel-verse recently, I think it was his secret ploy to turn me to the dark side. So turns out, I'm Hydra. Eat that, Avengers!

Maia isn't Hydra. Just too warm. That belly got a good kiss, don't you worry!

We had dinner and watched the football. It was dull. I finished the ironing and decided I deserved an early night.

With that, the day was done!

16th June 2014 - Sky's the limit!

No gym for us this morning. Paul's back is still sore and I had taken so many drugs yesterday that I was a bit woozy. Still had to get up fairly early though. Boo.

I headed off to work and Paul was having a day off as we were getting Sky fitted! Bye bye crappy Virgin Media! Hello Internet!

A is on annual leave this week so it's just T and I in the office. We were quite productive! Go us! He's left T with LOADS of work and me with nothing so I took some of hers to help out. A was still checking his emails all day so was sending even more stuff over to us! Urgh! Just enjoy your holiday!

When I came home, the house was a little bit mental and full of holes but the good news is that we have internet! Yay!

So, Sky, let's see what you got! It's pretty awesome so far!

We had a fun dinner tonight! Paul had a craving for hotdogs so that's what we had!

Delicious herby sausages on toasted brioche roll with mustard, ketchup and fried red onion. MmmMmmMMM!

After dinner we watched Game of Thrones, which was a the season finale and very good indeed (except for the bit with the dragons. That made me sad), watched some football then went to sleep!

15th June 2014 - The celebrations continue!

Happy Father's Day Daddy Hartley! :)

Another morning another migraine. Terrific. Just what I need. I got up at silly o'clock and took pain killers and then went back to bed for as long as I was allowed to try to sleep the pain off. It didn't go. :(

Sadly I couldn't stay in bed all day as I had to head over to my Aunt's house for a Hartley family do! I dosed up on travel sickness tablets (damn nausea) and grabbed some non-alcoholic drinks and got on the road!

Oh yeah, we had the take to take as well!

It was supposed to be the first time that the family got to meet Edward as well, but sadly he was really poorly last night and so my bro had to take him to hospital where he was admitted. Poor little sausage. Everyone was gutted. Me too. :(

I tried to make myself social and appear happy. I think I did ok.

 Another reason we had this party was because Dad's sister, my Auntie Barbara, was over from Canada on a short holiday to visit! We haven't seen her since our wedding, except via Skype, so it was lovely to see her!

It also meant time for a sibling photo, which only happens every time all 5 of them are together!

 Aw!

 We had a lovely afternoon with the family and I did start to feel better. Nothing that a slice of cake couldn't fix anyway!

We got home at about 6:30pm and watched the football for the rest of the evening! That's how we roll! :) Then to bed! Long day!

14th June 2014 - Day Off

It's Saturday! What's awesome about this Saturday is that I don't have anything to do (except the usual chores) so I can be lazy! Get In!

So yeah, I did naff all today and enjoyed every second! So yeah, don't really have anything to take a picture of!

I found Kong (aka Maia's boyfriend) on the bathmat. Why she's taken him in thee I do not know!

We sat outside for a while this afternoon just chilling because upstairs got far too warm. England were playing their first World Cup game so we watched some of the build up before kick off. Which was at silly o'clock at night. Thank goodness it's a Saturday.

I couldn't stay awake to watch it all though. Far too tired so took myself off to bed!
