23/07/2013 - Being proactive

Tuesday morning came, and Paul and I hauled ourselves out of bed and to the gym. We did a '300 workout' which was really mean and difficult and I didn't like it.

Taken from YouTube. Found on FreeFit on Facebook, started by Mark Raynsford, a personal trainer.

The above video is pretty much what we did, although we didn't time ourselves. Maybe next time.

From there, we went to work, and it was a loooooooooooooooooooong day. Why do work days take forever to get through but evenings and weekends fly by in the blink of an eye?!

I don't think I even have much to talk about when it comes to work! Nothing happened. Sorry!

When I got home, I had a delivery waiting for me!

I ordered some light dumbells last week (as the ones in the gym were too heavy!) so I could do some exercise at home and work on my jelly arms! So I did! I researched some exercises to do, and Paul gave me some tips as well, and away I went. It was difficult which I guess is a good thing!

From there, I did a few bits and bobs then settled down to catch up on some blogging and some TV.

Catching up on Revolution with a nice tonic and gin. Must be Tuesday!

I also realise how messy my house is. Hmm. Probably should stop blogging and clear up!

01/07/2013 - Pinch Punch!

Insert usual "how is it July already" start to post here.

Today's get up and go was ever present, and we made it to the gym. I made my kinesis work out a little different today, and decided to throw in some step ups between each piece of equipment to vary it a little and keep the heart rate going. Which would end up being a theme for the day!

Then work. Lots and lots of work. Always hard when you have a four-day week planned!

No rest for the wicked though, as after work we ventured to circuit training at the gym again! The crazy souls that we are!

It was tough. I haven't perspired that much after a work out for ages. Which means it must be good.

I came home to a text message that made me smile. Which is all I will say about that. Stay tuned, folks!

In other news, our wedding favours have arrived! :)

Yup - everyone's getting a Barney in a Box! You lucky wedding guests, you! Ok, so it's just the box that Paul's new flip flops came in, but as every cat in the world does, as soon as there is a new box in the house, they have to sit in it! It's like they have a sixth sense or something! Hone in on the brand new box!

We ate dinner pretty quickly and watched the latest episode of True Blood, which was ok. I was by this point so tired that I needed to sleep! It wasn't late at all! I'm such an old woman!

As another little treat for you, dear blog readers, here is a work of art that was spontaneously created by us this evening.

We call it "worn out pile of trainers". I think it could win a prize or two at the Tate at least!

17/06/2013 - Big Day...

...not THE big day...but a big day all the same.

Somehow I managed to haul my backside out of bed and make enough noise that Paul woke up as well and got ourselves to the gym.

I went on the step machine for 5 minutes as a warm up and then did a kinetic weight circuit. It was fun. Well, as fun as going to the gym can be! I was listening to my Stephen Fry autobiography audio book and he was talking about acting at university. Something I can relate to!

The first thing I did when I got into work this morning was give my boss T and my colleague A their invitations to our wedding! Paul finished a few off while I was getting ready for work! Good boy, isn't he?!

I left colleague J's invite on his desk as well, ready for when he came in...I wasn't sure what time he'd be in!

Not long after they came in, they all went out, leaving me all on my lonesome as colleague T is off at 1 of 2 funerals she has this week. :(

I got no comments on the invitations. It hurts a little, I have to be honest.

When the post came in, Lady J from the office upstairs (that works as a nickname for her!) came and stopped for a chat. I gave her the invitation for her and her husband. She was full of compliments for it. I wish I worked with more girls! D from upstairs and colleague T are in tomorrow so hopefully I get a few more nice comments. Although D might be all offended that she's only invited to the evening do. She best get over it.

While I had a few minutes I prepared a bunch of other invitations. It's time to trust in Her Majesty's Postal Service - The Royal Mail. Our distance invites are going out starting today! Only the day ones are going out so far, as the evening ones need a few more bits and bobs doing, but we'll do that tomorrow.

First class stamps and everything. These folk are lucky and should receive their invitations within the next couple of days...provided that the Royal Mail doesn't muck it up! Keep your fingers crossed!

Baby, they're ready to go! :) Had to hide my MoH's address on the front there!

I was on my own in the office for over 4 hours. I was not amused. But they had work things to do, so what can I do but do more work!

Still, once it got to 4pm, and I'd sorted all the office post, colleague J was back so I was able to go to the postbox and deliver our special envelopes!

How thrilled do I look about getting these gone?!

Paul  was there too!

I've just looked at this picture and it makes it look like the post box is in a really lovely area. Yeah. It's not. But let's pretend it's in parkland, huh?!

So - pretty much all of the day invitations are in the mail. I'm excited and scared in equal measure. I just hope that people can come!

After work I was feeling pretty crappy so headed home to chill. We sat and watched the new ep of True Blood, the finale of Person of Interest and the latest episode of Defiance.

I heard my little spider on the walkabout again. Sure enough:

Snoozin' Spider. Bless. He's cute! :)

14/06/2013 - Evening off

We made it! 4 out of 4 mornings in the gym! Weights for me today and boy, were they tough! I bet I was pulling some beautiful gurning faces!

Picture taken from a random google image search. I do not own this picture. This is not actually me, even if I say it is.

Yep - that was me in the gym this morning! Attractive, huh?!

Busy and mad day in the office. Had a really short concentration span, which really doesn't help with productivity. I got a good amount done though, and even stayed slightly late to finish stuff off! I am quite clearly Employee of the Year. Fact. As I am Office Manager, I get to decide, and that's my decision.

So there.

Anyway, I came back home and decided to call my Mum. It took her less than 90 seconds to ask how the invitations are coming on. Yep - that's what my life has become.

Whilst talking to her I was actually finishing some bits off on the evening invitations, ready to actually finish to post out either tomorrow or Monday. EEK. This stuff's getting real now!

From there I decided I needed to catch up with blog stuff so ate dinner and pretty much started ignoring Paul to make sure that you guys are kept up to date with how mundane my every day life is! You're welcome!

This is how Paul decided to spend the evening:

Playing Gran Turismo on the PS3. *other games consoles are available...although that game might not be available for said consoles*

To spur us on, after we made the executive decision NOT to get wine (I know, right?! Two weekends running!) we decided to finish the custard creams. It's a dirty rotten job.

The glorious weather we had last weekend has been replaced by misery. The clouds are crying due to the mundane life that we are leading at the moment.

It wasn't just raining. It was bloody p***ing it down. Setting off car alarms it was so heavy. Glad I was inside and not out!

So yeah. Nothing much really to report this evening. Paul was driving round Monaco in some nice cars that make a 'vroooom' noise, which is very exciting as we'll be there in a few weeks. I sat here and typed up a few days blog.

I also got a wash. Clearly this blogging malarky is dirty work.

She is very vigilant at cleaning her Mummy. Of course it's not the most hygienic of cleansing methods but I do love kisses from Maia!

I sit on the right-hand side of a large 2-seater sofa. I have the dvd shelves next to me...in fact, I'll take a picture to show what my view is right now while typing.

Below those shelves on my right is a gap. Where I heard a rustling noise. Fearing for my life and suspecting foul play / a mouse I was the bravest soldier ever and stuck my camera down there to take a picture to see what was going on.

This is what I found.

Completely forgot there was a cat bed down there! That was the first thing I ever bought for Maia before I picked her up from the RSPCA! She was so timid I thought she might feel safe in a covered bed. Ha. She's hardly ever used it!

Instead it seems that Barney (or Spider, as he's known when he's down there) quite likes it in there. It must be quite cool in these warmer evenings!

Plus he lets me tickle him when he's in that bed, as he thinks no one can see him so he can secretly enjoy it. Crafty little sausage.

13/06/2013 - It's hard keeping secrets

I have to be honest with you, dear readers. It's so hard keeping these invitations a secret. I just don't want to spoil the surprise for when people who read this blog actually receive them!

I don't think they're the most amazing thing since sliced bread. I do think that they're pretty and they get the job done. They are completely designed by ourselves, and to our knowledge, people won't have received anything quite like them. I've seen things similar online but nothing that looks like we've copied them.

Most of the pictures I've taken this week are of us making the invitations, documenting the process that we went through. For obvious reasons, I can't show these pictures yet, making the blog even more dull than usual, if that's even possible!

I really do hope I remember post all about the making of the invitations, and I hope that I'm not so bored by them at that point that I neglect to do it! Remind me and beg me for that post, please?! That's if you want to see the finished secret product!

We got up and went to the gym again this morning! Three for three! We can't go on a Wednesday morning as it doesn't open until 9.30am which is too late for me. I consider it a success!

Had loads to do in work today, so I really tried to get my head down and focus on the tasks in hand. I'm not very good at that but I did my best!

This is my top drawer in the office today. In it, other than my Dictaphone headphones and phone case is my fruit stash. And some out of date thai green curry flavour poppadom type things which are gross and I really should throw them away.

Yes, folks, that's how exciting things get. Hold onto your hats!

After work I came home, ate dinner and set to making the evening invitations. The glue gun needed to make an appearance and neither of us burnt ourselves! Well done us! We got them to a very advanced point in the crafting process when we decided that we did need to go to bed. Busy day ahead tomorrow, so much needed beauty sleep was in order so we could get up and go to the gym in the morning. Priorities in the right place, you see!

Beautiful Maia is not amused that we are concentrating so hard on that paper stuff that she's not allowed to sit on and not throwing mouseys for her to play with. We are such cruel parents.

28/05/2013 - Two people at once!

Back to work it is. That's the worst part about a long weekend. It's still just a weekend and you still have to work afterwards.

Made extra un-fun by the fact that colleague T is on holiday for the next two weeks, so I have to do her work as well as mine. At least it's only 9 days and not months, like it was before.

At home, the unglamorous life is well and truly partying. Our shower is blocked. Which is not good. We have put two different types of unblocker down there and it's having none of it. We're going to try each of these bad boys until one of them does the job.

We bought the Domestos stuff on the far right. Spoiler - it works. PHEW!

Want to see how busy my day was:

I've barely been making 100% recently, as a lot of my work is off machine. I'm quite proud to be over 250% again!

Once home, we had dinner and lamented the fact that we don't have a lot of TV to watch now that most series have ended for the summer over in America. What are we going to do now?!

Have an early night, probably. I'm really not complaining.

Today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge: Planking.

Since last month I've got quite good at planking. Taking a picture of yourself doing it, however...not so easy!

There's concentration in that selfie. Not aided by Maia rubbing up against the camera as I was taking pics. This is the best of a bad bunch!

26/05/2013 - Uh oh...

My darling readers, I am in pain. My  hip is not my friend. Every time I moved last night, I awoke in pain. Not a happy bunny. So we had to stay in bed a little longer. Because I need rest.

Luckily for me, Paul decided to join me and watch the build up to the Monaco Grand Prix in bed! :)

Smug Paul is smug because that top didn't fit this time last year. It's a perfect fit now. Everyone do the dance of joy!

It's all good fun!

We had to get up though, because we have a visitor this evening! I know! How popular we are! So we had a little tidying to do and an invitation to make! Our visitor this evening was our test run for invitations!

Koran came to visit! The same KoKo who came dress shopping with me, and who took me out after I had my hair and make up done. She's a good friend (to get me drunk) and tonight was no exception! Yay! I need pain relief and actual medicinal pain relief isn't working!

Gin and Tonics were the order of the day! They went down very well indeed!

We ate Paella and drank. We watched crappy movies but mostly chatted. Paul went to  bed early and we stayed up and chatted some more!

It might have been a late night! Worth it though.

The invitation - she approved! We have some more work to do on them for other people but I can get them together a lot quicker than we thought, so we are feeling quite happy now!

Today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge: Making fitness fun.

So I'm injured. I can't make fitness fun right now. Sorry.

Here's a picture of me making fitness fun last year, though!

We attempted a world-record attempt for a can can! Sadly we didn't make it, but it was a good giggle any way!

I actually  look quite skinny here! So this picture is even more fun! :D

25/05/2013 - No pain, no gain. REALLY?!

It's Saturday night and I'm writing a blog post about the day that it actually is! This never happens! I'm up to date!!

I think it's because the only thing on the telly (meaning that I have lost custody of the remote control) is the Champions League Final which has just finished. I won't spoiler.

Anyway.

For a crazy random change, I'm going to start with today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge picture. Mostly because it started my day!

Today's picture is "at a Park Run or about to do 5km". So, even though I really didn't want to, we went to Park Run!

I have mentioned it before (although last year and I can't even remember that far back, but as it's a 'label' on here I must have mentioned it!) but basically it's a free weekly timed 5km!

We don't go as often as we should. But, as I said, even though I really didn't want to go, we went!

It has been a gorgeous day in Liverpool so it wasn't a bad morning to go for a run.

I managed to jog/run the whole 5km. This is a big achievement for me. I've never done that before. If you go back to my entry on the 8th May 2013, you'll see that one of my goals for 2013 was to be able to run a 5km without stopping. Yup. Big tick against that one. I'll never be able to 'run' 5km, so maybe I phrased it wrong. But I didn't need to walk at any point. Whenever I found myself getting out of breath, I just slowed down. So I was probably jogging at walking pace, but hey, I didn't walk!

As of now - 2157 hours, I haven't received my result. Even though it's been over 12 hours since I finished. I guess I'll try to remember to let you know in tomorrow's post. IF I EVER FIND OUT.

Anyway. I might be regretting the run now. My hip hurts. Not in a good way. In a not-being-able-to-put-weight-on-my-right-leg way. I hope that goes away because I don't want to have to take an exercise break. I am going to rest for the next few days and hope it gets better. I think I run with my foot turned out, as when it's in that position, it doesn't hurt. When I turn it straight it does. So I guess I need to teach myself to run again. GREAT.

I can't take anti-inflammatory tablets due to my asthma. No ibruprofen or asprin for me. No voltarol or diclophenac. No deep heat. I have to suffer medicine free. So I decided to put an ice pack on it. Except we didn't have any ice. All we had was a frozen wine cooler. THAT'LL DO!

Pretty sure my parents gave me this. It's the best ice pack ever! Although it thawed pretty quick so it's back in the freezer.

So, next choice in medicine?

This wine was a gift from Paul's Mum. It's REALLY nice. I'm currently drinking it slowly to make it last as long as possible!

Oh yeah - Paul's parents' came over this afternoon! We debuted our wedding invitations to Paul's mum. I don't think she liked them. Not a good start.

Anyway, it's just after 10pm now. I'm shattered and in pain. Think I'll finish my wine and go to bed soon.

OH, one more thing: Happy Towel day, everyone!

If you have to ask...google it. If you still don't get it...join the library! :)

24/05/2013 - RIP Boutr0s

Guys, today started badly.

I slept for about 4 hours. I woke up at stupid o'clock because the baby next door WOULD NOT STOP SCREAMING. Seriously. I don't blame the baby. He's a baby. But he was screaming for over an hour.

I understand that when you're a parent, you can't go to your child every time it cries. I know that. I also understand the whole thing about letting it learn to sleep in a room by itself. HOWEVER, an hour of screaming?! This wasn't attention-seeking screaming, this was genuine DO SOMETHING screaming. You know what they did? They put on the AWFUL CD that they always play. Granted, not at the volume that it's usually on during the day, but that's what they did to stop the baby crying. Spoiler. It didn't work.

After an hour of me huffing and puffing and generally being really p***ed off, I remembered my secret weapon: ear plugs. In they went and back off to sleep I went.

Until 3.30am when Barney decided it was a perfectly acceptable hour to stomp all over me asking for attention. I gave him a tickle - he purred and curled up next to my head. Until I stopped tickling him as I fell back asleep, where he started stomping again, then jumping onto the side and knocking bits and bobs onto the floor. With a dramatic exclamation of "Mummy can't do this, Barney! She just can't!" (yes, I refer to myself in the third person), I got up and went to give them more biscuits. Anything to get them to let me sleep!

It worked. I got to go back to sleep. Until 5.40am when the alarm went off for us to get up and go to the gym.

I didn't want to go. But we went anyway. I did some weights. It was tough.

I came home and showered. As I was getting ready for work, I got a text from my Mum to relay the devastating news that my fishy, Boutr0s-Boutr0s, had passed away in the night.

WAAAA!

I have mentioned Boutr0s-Boutr0s before, but for those of you who have not been paying attention, I have had him for over 10 years. Probably more like 11! Granted, Mum has had custody of him for the whole of that time, but he was my fishy. He was a pink kissing gourami and had been a lone-fish for some time. His tank-mate, Ghali, passed away a little time ago.

I can't remember why we decided to name them after an Egyptian politician, but that was his name.

The last ever pic taken of Boutr0s-Boutr0s, taken on 10th May 2013.

Rest in Peace, Boutr0s-Boutr0s. I missed you anyway, but Mummy Hartley will miss you the most. She won't miss how much you cost her over the years, but that empty tank won't be nice for her. :(

On that sad note I went to work and lamented my loss to my colleagues, who thought it was really funny. Meanies.

After work, we debated going to a yoga class, but as a full box of envelopes had just fallen on my head in the office, making me go a little dizzy, we decided to just go home.

I can't remember if I tweeted the picture of the cat grass I started growing last week. This is it now!

It has come along a treat!

Speaking of treats; as the kitties get one, I feel like we deserve one as well!

This chocolate has been getting a lot of press recently. It's completely Marmite (either love it or hate it) according to the people I know who have tried it.

My verdict: I really don't know! The jelly bits are also popping candy which is the stuff that crackles in the back of your mouth when you eat it.

I can't decide if it's fun or just plain annoying. I only ate the above. Will have to try some more just to see!

Absolutely exhausted, I managed to watch this week's 'Revolution' and then headed to bed. Pretty sure I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow.

Today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge: Weights or Body Weights.

I did weights at the gym this morning. I didn't take a picture. Nobody needs to see that. Plus it's a bit weird taking photos at the gym! Instead, I got Paul to take this one of me doing dips at home.

Ignore the crazy amounts of dust on the side of my trousers. Pretend I meant for that to be there...

22/05/2013 - Naughty scran

It's Wednesday! Which means that it's a morning off the gym...not that we had one yesterday or anything...or the day before. Aherm.

Anyway, I headed to work with a little more of a smile on my face as I was legitimately able to sleep longer rather than by accident, and cracked on with my work!

Colleague J went to visit the Beanie Man at lunch time and got a few freebies, and gave me a nice cheese and onion sandwich!

Except the thing was that it wasn't actually nice. I'm sure some people like it. Not me. The whole cheese, onion and mayo combo has only ever been nice to me once. About 2 years ago.

Sorry, Beanie Man. Have a spare falafel salad next time and I will love you forever!

I just want to be clear, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth! I'm poor. Free food is welcome!

Paul sent me this picture to make me smile.

Barney was doing his long cat impression. About 10 seconds before this picture was taken, he was even longer! Gutted!

It's #Whedonsday, so Chris was coming over to visit for some dindins. Paul made pork chilli burritos, after we watched Man vs Food last night and saw a giant burrito which looked AMAZING.

As it was taking a while, we had some snacks to start with.

I might have eaten more than I should have of these. Thank goodness we didn't have pudding!

After Chris went to run for his train, we went to bed. Fingers crossed for a good night's sleep.

Today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge pic: Proud Achievement.

Well, I've never run a marathon. Never anything close in fact. Never run an official timed race. I've never entered any fitness competitions and the only trophy I have won is from a disco dance exam when I was in single digits, before I was politely told that I was a little too...chubby...for dance.

Aherm.

NOT ANY MORE!

I think my proudest achievement has come this year.

I wore these trousers all the time last year. They are now so big I can take them off without undoing them. I have officially lost 1 dress size. In some shops, I have lost 2!

There is still some way to go to where I would like to be...I mean look at those arms...however they are better than they was and with more work, I will be happy!

Seriously, these trousers are so big, I had to buy a belt to hold them up. The only one I had that would fit through the loops didn't have holes high enough to hold up the trousers! :D

20/05/2013 - Active. Ish.

We did not go to the gym this morning. On purpose. So we would go after work.

I hate going to the gym after work, but do so I shall.

Maia loves to stand on my phone. She's locked it by inputting the incorrect 'code' on more than one occasion. I like to think she's tweeting her fans. Not that she has a twitter account. She used to have a facebook. She had more friends than me. I'm a bit sad about that.

Work was...well, you know the usual spiel. What can I say - nothing new happened. Which is dull. I should really make fun things happen!

As promised, we got ready and went to the gym straight from work. My colleagues make such a song and dance about me going after work. I guess it's because they see me in my fitness gear. Maybe they don't believe me when I say I go before work. I can't prove that.

Anyway, as last week sucked a little in the gym, I went to the circuit training class with Paul. It was tough. Especially as we were split into a group of 6, and the other 4 people in our group were super fit. Not impressed.

Here's Paul outside the gym afterwards.

The girl in blue (in front of the red bricks) was in our team. She was super fit. I hate her. Not really. I'm just jealous of her toned long legs and her stamina. Bet she can't quote the whole of Lord of the Rings though, can she? Bet she can't make a mean Lemon Drizzle cake. Bet she can't...um...[insert something cool here]...YEAH! In your face, fit girl.

We came home, ate dinner and went to bed. Because we're so rock n roll like that!

Today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge is pictures of 3 friends drinking water!

It's giving me a lot of credit here. I don't have that many friends that I see regularly. So I might have had to...improvise...somewhat...

Paul. Drinking water.

Maia. Drinking water.

 Barney. Drinking water.

Hey - it doesn't specify that my friends need to be human, does it?!

I am REALLY going to struggle on the 27th, aren't I?!

14/05/2013 - Tuesday

Yep - a witty and original title from me there. Mostly because there isn't a great deal to say about today!

We got up at silly o'clock and went to the gym because we are lunatics! I did a small row to warm up and then a kinetic circuit which was a full body work out. It's not more interesting than that.

My boss asked me to go into work earlier so I rushed to get ready. Shouldn't have bothered. He didn't give me any work to do. I think he just wanted someone to make him a brew.

There really isn't much to say about today at all. Which is rather sad.

When I got home I was determined to do some wedding work, so with a little help from the internet, I managed to fashion an RSVP card to go with our invitations. We haven't done a test-print yet which is the next progression, as the card is double sided and I have no idea which way our printer will feed the paper.

This DIY invitations malarky is quite complicated. Still - at least we're getting them made our way rather than having to settle with something pretty from a shop. Got to be honest, none of them are very 'us', hence us going down the handmade route. I have a creative mind...I just hope I'm talented to be able to make the vision a reality!

Once all the invitations have been sent and (hopefully received) I will do a big reveal. If I remember. Hey - it means I have something to take a picture of, I guess! :)

Anyway, as there have been no pictures yet, here's Barney in a bag.

He likes it in there. He'd probably be quite content if we used it instead of his cat box!

Anyway, after I had fashioned the RSVP cards, we settled in for some tv. It's season finale time for our favourite shows, so we watched How I Met Your Mother, Hawaii 5-0 and Castle. All very good. I can't believe we have to wait until September for them all to come back on. It seems so far away...however we'll be married before these shows come back.

They were my last eps as a single gal. Wow. Didn't think of that.

Anyway - today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge pic is of me using my favourite exercise equipment.  As I don't take anything that can take pics into the gym (actually that's a lie - my ipod can take pics but I don't know how to upload them) I couldn't take anything in there. I do love me a wave machine. Instead here's my favourite non-gym based equipment.

Yes, it's my yoga mat. I love it. It was only cheap but it doesn't half make a difference when working out!

I wouldn't normally wear a jumper while using it, but taking the first pic revealed an excellent shot of my cleavage. Seriously not suitable for work.

Anyway, I don't just do yoga on the mat, but for the purposes of today, that's what it's for!

13/05/2013 - Crazy Weather

We were very naughty this morning and we didn't go to the gym. Bad Cagga and Paul. We made plans to go this evening. Stay tuned to see if we did go!

Got to work and had the usual Monday routine to go through. Mondays really do suck, don't they?

Anyway, had to pop to the shops at lunch time to grab a few bits and go to the post office. Glad I went when I did as once I was safely back in the office, this happened:

Those white bits? Hailstones. It hailed like it was never going to hail again. Those stones were HUGE! I tried to take pics and the best I could get was

It's not a great picture, but we're used to itty bitty hail here in Liverpool. The above was a small version of what fell from the sky! I bet a few people were injured by those bad boys!

Luckily the hail stopped when I left work. It was time to go to the gym and yes! We went! Aren't you impressed! I had no desire to go but we did! Paul did a circuit class and I wished I had done it too as the gym was PACKED. With kids. Seriously full. I have never seen the gym that busy before and I was annoyed that there were so many children! Skinny little kids talking about how many calories they had burnt off. Yeah, because at that age that's what's important. Grr. I had an hour to kill in the gym and boy was it tough. I'm not used to having such a long time there. I made it though. I might try the circuit training next week. The people leaving didn't look like they were about to pass out through exhaustion.

I had a few deliveries today in work. As usual I tortured my colleagues by not opening them in the office. I saved them for when we got home. One was some low-price perfume that I ordered after realising I had very little scent left. I've had them before. They're ok. I think. I can't smell so I don't really care! Paul doesn't mind them so they can't be all bad.

The second delivery was my hair accessory for the wedding! I ordered it on Ebay last week and it arrived earlier than expected! So happy! It's very pretty! Not going to show the whole thing (as the pic doesn't do it justice) but this is part of it.

It should look lovely with my dress. Fingers crossed!

While I was swooning over my new pretty, Paul made us dinner of pulled pork and veg. It was fairly nice. Not unhealthy. The glass of rose I had with it however is the naughty part.

Doesn't look that appealing here but I assure you it was delish.

Today's #FitTeam13 #PhotoFitChallenge pic is of me and a friend drinking water.

Simple!
